Danielle Becker was first introduced to the significance of photography by her travels with her family as a youth. Noting her parents intent focus while trying to capture a cathedral window or other beautiful sight she became aware of how valuable those images were. The photos from family travels offered the chance to see again what you might never have the chance to revisit.
Between childhood years abroad, Danielle would return to her Grandparents home in Texas during summers. Danielles grandfather, an architect, was particularly adept at pointing out the whimsy and power of light and the way it created presence.
Danielles grandmother, a classy beauty of her time would reinforce the unobtrusive enjoyment of beauty. These humorous visits with the grandparents were marked by Danielle spending much time in the loft observing the adult dynamics from above.
These birds-eye view memories of looking down into a finely furnished airy living room of people enjoying glasses of wine and good banter
this is where Danielles love for portraiture, travel, and event photography originates.
Enjoying the view was enhanced with technical training when Danielle entered high school. Living in South Carolina, Danielle was fortunate to attend Greenville High School for the Fine Arts where she received creative and compassionate instruction from Ellie Greenspoon.
This training expanded Danielles awareness of the creative possibilities by demonstrating that whatever your minds eye could see could be recreated for the world with photographic techniques. This is the foundation of Danielles affinity for product and food photography.

Portraiture, Travel, and Event Photography
A photograph taken can forever preserve a childs laughter, the beauty of a youthful bride, the wonder in a fathers eyes, the gift of a season, the pleasure derived from a breeze in the mountains, the eternal potential of a splendid instant.
Preserving this timeless potential is Danielles pleasure. Many of Danielles customers have noted that she is adept at catching the moments no one else is noticing. She feels those are the details that round out the memory afterward and expose the magic and humanity of our greatest moments in life.
Danielle delights in showing people the images of the event she has photographed and watch them recall what their memories are of the very same space and people in time- you can feel the memory of the moment gaining more significance as a picture helps a person relive something. Thats the magic!
For this type of work Danielle prefers to photograph with a wide-angle lens. Although event photographers typically use longer lenses, Danielle finds that getting to the picture instead of using a zoom lens makes for better photographs. Having to get closer in to her subjects with this equipment, Danielle finds this proximity creates closer perspective for the viewer and realistically portrays the intimacy of the occasion.

Product and Food Photography
Danielle holds a degree in Marketing from the University of Texas. Marketing, otherwise known as the art of differentiation, is the discipline that advises this portion of Danielles work. When doing lifestyle, product, and food photography her objective is honed to demonstrate the unique traits of each subject.
There is a certain catharsis in glorifying an object, says Danielle. In this particular work she aims to bring the basic beauty of someone elses intentions to the public. Whether your audience is viewing your website or admiring your product in a magazine, an outstanding photo will always support the customers expectation of quality.
Though she enjoys most being able to solicit desire in the eyes of the audience, Danielle recognizes not all campaigns call for the marketing of desire. The occasions where an advertiser wants to produce other sentiments in the audience are the challenging cases where creativity and vision meet technical acuity. This work she particularly enjoys for the challenge of finding the precise angle, lighting, and composition that generate a captive audience AND speak the 10,000 words you want to tell them!
